When I open up Instagram, I’m met with a constant deluge of fashion and style influencers posting their outfits of the day (#ootd) promoting the latest trends and newest products from the most fashionable stores. I absolutely love scrolling through all of the posts! But my clothing budget is finite, and my closet is full of clothes already.

I have honed my craft of “windowing shop” on #Instagram; instead of buying the tops, skirts or shoes worn by my favorite fashion bloggers, I turn to my own closet.

These #ootd and #outfitinspo posts inspire me to build new outfits using pieces I’ve had for years. I get creative and play with new trends with shirts or shoes that aren’t new.

In thinking about this, I wondered if maybe I could add something to the Instagram community. There are countless women out there putting flawless outfits together. But maybe I can be the one to show other people how to do the same thing with the clothes already in their closet and offer them some #stylesecrets.

Maybe there are women out there who aren’t sure how to create new and interesting outfits using the clothes they have. Maybe there are women out there who don’t know how to flaunt their best features and downplay the features they don’t love. Maybe there are women out there who crave fashion and style posts that won’t break the bank.

Maybe I can provide that for those women - you women!
