If you’re feeling tired of your wardrobe, then you’ve come to the right place! I’m spotlighting popular wardrobe pieces to show 9 different ways to wear them, in hopes to give you some #outfitinspo to step out the conventional and try something new! This post is all about the wardrobe staple, black pants. (What I’m wearing here is black skinny jeans, so those will work perfectly, too!)

1) T-shirt, Sneakers and Jacket

This is my #weekendwardrobe - my grocery shopping, park bench sitting, errand running, dog walking, newspaper reading outfit.

These black jeans are from J.Crew Factory: I love them because they are a stretch material, they are ankle length and skinny fit. This makes them incredibly versatile; you can pair them with Puma sneakers or any of the shoes and outfits shown below. If you have black pants, they could also be dressed down with sneakers.

2) T-shirt, Sweater, Scarf and All-weather Boots

This is the same t-shirt from the picture above; here I wore it with all of my favorite winter essentials. This is another example of typical #weekendwear for me. This outfit is perfect for a snowy or extra cold day.

Since the jeans are a skinny fit, they fit inside these boots and don't add extra bulk to a winter outfit.

Sidenote Confession: I would wear these boots every day if it was socially acceptable. Is it? (haha)

3) T-shirt, Leather Jacket, Boots and Necklace

Same t-shirt here. The boots, jacket and statement necklace add some spice to the outfit and make it more interesting.

The ankle length and skinny fit of the pants make it perfect to wear with these over-the-knee boots because there is no extra material hanging at the knees.

I tucked the front of the shirt into the jeans and rolled the jacket sleeves to #styleup the outfit.

4) Colorful Blouse, Booties and Hat

This outfit is so simple to replicate. Any colored blouse with work with your black pants, since black goes with everything.

The booties dress up the outfit, but you could wear this with almost any flat or heel. This outfit could transition perfectly from day to night and could work for any season. The leather jacket above or the sweater above are great ways to layer this for warmth.

And the hat is just for fun!

5) Denim shirt, Blazer and Booties

This blazer chics up the denim shirt here, which makes it appropriate for lots of occasions. Any button down shirt would work here!

With the shirt untucked and with the booties, this outfit doesn't feel overly corporate but still work-appropriate.

I played with popping the collar and rolling the sleeves for a more casual look, if you want a #styletrick to try.

6) Denim Shirt, Sweater, Booties and Hat

This post also shows the versatility of the denim shirt. It pairs nicely here because it separates the tan sweater from my pale, pale Irish skin. (haha)

Any pullover sweater and button down shirt work for this! This is definitely work appropriate, and you could wear any flat, heel or boot with this.

Again, I'm showing you the rolled sleeves and flat collar to play with some #styletricks for you. And the hat is optional but always a fun accessory.

7) Party Top and Strappy Heels

Anyone else struggle to find the right thing to wear out on a Saturday night? When in doubt, black pants! Here, I paired it with a leopard tank and strappy heels. Any party top will do here. Black goes with everything!

I can't underscore the greatness of these pants: they are perfect for the bars with strappy heels and the dog park with Puma sneakers.

#Styletip: my necklace adds some color, and my clutch adds some sheen.

8) Party Top, Sweater and Booties

I wanted to show you that those party tops don't have to just wait for a #girlsnightout. You can wear it under a sweater. Here, I paired it with a duster because I cannot get enough of my dusters. This would be appropriate for a casual dinner or a casual work day for me.

In fact, this work day outfit could be an easy switch to a night out. I'd just keep the shoes in my car until the night began.

The daytime shoes here could be flats or boots as well.

9) Party Top, Blazer and Booties

Here's another way to wear this evening top to a work environment. A blazer makes this look tres chic.

The necklace shows that a little pop of color can add some style to your outfit and make it look different than the next person would wear leopard.

Black pants are so easy to transition from day to night, season to season. If you don't have any, look for a pair that works well with your current wardrobe and your shoe collection. Drop me a line to let me know how it goes. Send me some pics of you in your new favorite #blackpantpairings.
